The continuous sucess of the show is evident in the fact that over 99 percent of last year’s exhibitors reapplied for the Art Galleries Sector.

Promoting young artists since 1996, the Art Statements sector at Art Basel 43 will spotlight 27 solo projects by young artists from 19 countries. These artists were selected by the Art Basel Committee from more than 300 applications.
Two outstanding Art Statements projects will be awarded with the CHF 30,000 Baloise Art Prize. The Baloise Group willl also acquire works by the award-winning artists, posteriorly donating them to renowned European institutions. This year, the institutions are again the Hamburger Kunsthalle and the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Wien.
