Alcarte 2014 - Collective Exhibition

The opening of the collective art exhibition Alcarte, took place yesterday at buliding of the City Hall of Alcochete. For the 2014 edition, the organization chose the theme "Liberty or Liberties" in celebration of the 40 years of the national revolution "25 de Abril", which released Portugal from 41 of years of dictatorship, officially designated as Estado Novo. Until the 29th of August, visitors can enjoy the work of 26 artists, including painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media.

Alcarte 2012 opens today

 The colective exhibition Alcarte opens today at 18h00 (GMT) in the City Hall Museum Center of Sacred Art, inside the Misericórdia Church of Alcochete (Núcleo de Arte Sacra do Museu Municipal, na Igreja da Misericórdia de Alcochete), located near 30kms south of Lisbon and easily accessible through the Vasco de Gama bridge.

 Entitled “Alcarte – 30 anos” to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the event includes over 60 works, comprising painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and screenprinting. One of the highlights of the 2012 edition is the participation of young artists through the “Alcarte Júnior 2012” initiative.

 The exhibition can be visited until September 9, during the following hours: Tuesday (14h00 - 17h30); Wednesday to Friday (10h30 - 12h30 and 14h00 - 17h30); Saturday (14h30 - 18h30); Sunday (10h30 - 12h30 and 14h30 - 18h30). Closed on Monday.


 During the "Festas do Barrete Verde e das Salinas" celebrations, the Alcarte – 30 anos can be visited at extended hours:

10 of August - 18h00 - 24h00

11 and 12 of August - 20h30 - 24h00

13 of August - 14h00 - 18h00 and 20h30 - 24h00

14 of August - 20h30 - 24h00

15 of August - 15h00 - 18h00 and 20h30 às 24h00

16 of August - 20h30 - 24h00

The opening of Alcarte 2011 was a success



The opening of Alcarte 2011, that took place yesterday at City Hall Municipal Gallery inside the Town Hall building of Alcochete, was attended by a numerous public who showed a genuine interest and curiosity about the exhibited works.



A total of 76 artworks occupying two stores of the building, including painting, photography, mixed-media and stained-glass, are a testimony of art's dynamism among the portuguese artists.

The Mayor of Acochete, Luís Miguel Franco, made the honours.

Alcarte 2011 can be visited until 2nd of September.

One of the participating artists has created another video of the opening.

Alcarte 2011 - Colective Exhibition



The colective painting and photography exhibition Alcarte 2011, will be inaugurated on August 6th, 18h30, in the town hall of Alcochete.

The artworks can be seen until September 2nd (Mon-Fri 9am-6pm).
During the Festas do Barrete Verde e das Salinas (local festivities), the "Alcarte 2011" can be visited during the following schedule:

Between 6pm and 00h00 on the 12th,16th,17th and 18th of August.
Between 3pm and 00h00 on the 13th, 14th and 15th of August.
