Art Forums

When starting in the world of arts, beginners are eager for information to help them to develop their skills and knowledge.
For those who cannot afford to frequent an art school or workshops, relying on what they can find in the internet is one of their first choices.
This is where art forums come into play, often started and moderated by artists.
Members have the opportunity to place their questions and doubts, while sharing their knowledge and experiences with their coleagues.
Among those most well known and covering several subjects we have Wetcanvas, Artpapa, ArtistsNetwork, and ArtistsForum.
Then we have those more specialized in certain subjects, such as portraiture, fantasy, animal portraiture, photography and digital art.
Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist, you will find in these forums a great source of information and artists willing to share their knowledge.

It is interesting to see my personal favorite WetCanvas listed first. I joined it because I am a painter, but enjoy the Wearable Arts and Glass Art forums immensely, too. I am now primarily a glass (lampwork) artist and make and sell beads and jewelry.
